Construction Project Manager

Cloud Construction Management is an Atlanta based, construction management and commercial general contractor specializing in national client accounts in the healthcare, retail and restaurant build out space.  This position offers the candidate the opportunity to work remotely with periodic travel to various project sites as required to effectively manage each assignment.


Project Management Responsibilities:

  •   Oversight and management of all assigned projects.
  •   Primary objectives/success measures:  budget and schedule control, client satisfaction.
  •   Simultaneous management of up to (5) projects with field supervision assigned to each.
  •   Projects estimated by another staff member with hand off/briefing taking place at point of client contract.
  •    Develop, manage and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project or comparable software.
  •    Weekly reports and distribution to various team members.
  •    Utilization of a web based, project management software tool:  Corecon.
  •     Remote attendance and preparation for a weekly, internal staff meeting conducted remotely via      screen share and PC cameras.
  •    Monday mornings:  duration 1 hour
  •    Subcontractor and vendor buy out: 
  •    Prequalification of new vendors
  •    Creating scopes of work
  •    Negotiating contract terms.
  •    Verifying vendor compliance with company insurance and payment policies.
  •    Owner pay applications, vendor pay application coordination and approval.
  •    Managing owner and vendor changes.
  •    Sourcing, pricing and scopes associated with change orders that occur.
  •    Maintain project budget and cost controls:  own the financial outcomes of each project.
  •     Primary client and project team point of contact.
  •    Conduct regular project site meetings with stake holders.
  •    Initial projects are in metro Atlanta but others to occur throughout the southeast.
  •     Frequency of site visits can range from weekly to once per month.
  •    Project close out and punch list management with help of field staff.
  •    Coordinate person travel and calendar with communication to the team.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Relevant work experience in commercial general contracting setting:  retail, restaurant and healthcare interiors with occasional ground up construction projects.
  • A technical Diploma or relevant University Degree
  • Experience working remotely and leveraging technology to stay uniformly connected to all project stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Passion for construction and project management
  • Recognized analytical and research skills
  • The ability to handle a heavy workload, multitask and prioritize
  • A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills
  • The ability to travel throughout the local service area with access to your own vehicle
